Success and Failure Counting

Phase 2 feature. Dice pool systems where you count how many dice meet a threshold rather than summing values.

Use Cases

  • Shadowrun: Roll Nd6, count dice showing 5 or 6 as successes
  • World of Darkness: Roll Nd10, count dice meeting a target number
  • Blades in the Dark: Roll Nd6, check highest result

Notation (Phase 2, TBD)

Needs design work. Possible approaches from CritDice:

  • 8d6>=4 — Roll 8d6, count successes on 4 or higher
  • 8d6>=4f<=1 — Count successes on 4+, subtract failures on 1
