Lime Juice Powder (Anthony’s Organic)

Role

Flavor ingredient (Chris only — not in base mix)

Amount

  • Per serving: ~2/3 tsp (in Moscow Mule or Mojito blend)
  • See Flavor Blends for full recipes

Safety

  • ⚠️ Chris only — tolerates lime and citric acid well
  • ❌ Sara should avoid — citrus is a histamine liberator, also contains natural salicylates
  • Freeze-dried, single ingredient, no manufactured citric acid carrier

Why Anthony’s?

  • Freeze-dried and cold-pressed
  • Single ingredient: organic lime juice powder
  • No maltodextrin carrier (unlike some brands like BulkSupplements watermelon juice powder)
  • No manufactured citric acid (unlike True Lime “crystallized lime” which is citric acid + lime oil + lime juice)

True Lime vs Real Lime Powder

True Lime/True Citrus products use manufactured citric acid as the bulk carrier with small amounts of lime oil and juice. The citric acid is produced via Aspergillus niger (mold) fermentation — a known MCAS concern. Anthony’s is actual freeze-dried lime, where any citric acid present is naturally occurring in the fruit.
