Open Design Gaps

The community design philosophy is well-articulated. What’s thin is governance once people are actually living there — how are decisions made, how are conflicts resolved, what does “relational accountability” look like operationally vs. aspirationally. The pitch implies a complete model; the vault has the economic structure solid but the social structure is still largely philosophy. A grant application would also face the gap between current status (pre-formation, no land) and the implied readiness of the pitch — the path from “evaluating Durham parcels” to a funded project is undefined.
